Sustainability reports
KG Knutsson AB presents the group’s sustainability report for 2023. The publication provides an insight into the group’s work with sustainability and development, to promote an insightful transition and take social responsibility. The report describes, among other things, how KGK contributes to the technology transition and the work with sustainability in the areas of environment, social responsibility and circular economy.
The major conversion to electric vehicles will continue in 2023, albeit at a somewhat reduced pace. During the past year, the percentage of rechargeable cars in Sweden increased from 56 percent to just under 60 percent, but during the first quarter of 2024, the percentage decreased to 55 percent. The facts, however, are that 14 million electric cars were manufactured in the world in 2023 and that is an increase of 34 percent compared to the year before and every fifth car manufactured in the world is an electric car.
We are not sitting around waiting for the transition to take place, but are already in full swing contributing to more sustainable mobility. We are learning to take care of electric vehicles while sustainably and economically repairing and servicing the large number of vehicles already on our roads to give them the lifespan they were built for. Electric vehicles will be a big part of the future even if there are challenges along the way.
In order to succeed in this, we offer a very wide range of spare parts and accessories for the entire vehicle stock, used car parts, refurbished high-voltage parts for electric cars, training for our Autoexperten and Auto Partner workshops so that they can take care of electric vehicles and increased smart charging infrastructure . This is to mention some of our operations, says Johan Regefalk, CEO of KG Knutsson AB.
